Building & Construction Trades (CTE)
Building Trades and Construction is a part of the Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway, supporting students' journey from the classroom to the workplace in a fast-growing career. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a varied background in the use of tools, machines, and materials. In the Building and Construction Trades program, students learn skills from various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. These skills help students learn how to properly care for and maintain a home while saving on repair costs. This pathway also provides students with an understanding of the many career options and professions within the trades industry, including entrepreneurship and self-employment, along with the postsecondary pathways available. Courses offered include Essentials of Building I and Advanced Building and Construction.
