Agriculture (CTE)

The Agriscience pathway helps students acquire a broad understanding of a variety of agricultural areas, develop an awareness of the many career opportunities in agriculture, participate in occupationally relevant experiences, and work cooperatively with a group to develop and expand leadership abilities. Students study California agriculture, agricultural business, agricultural technologies, natural resources, and animal, plant, and soil sciences. Students who are in the Agriscience pathway gain career-based skills through their Supervised Agricultural Experience projects as well as leadership skills through the FFA.

The Career Technical Education (CTE) Agriculture program includes the following pathways and courses: Agriscience Pathway: Agriculture Earth Science (Introductory level), Agri-Biology  (Concentrator level), and Agri-Chemistry (Capstone/level). Floriculture Pathway: Floriculture I (Concentrator level) and Floriculture II (Capstone/level). Agribusiness Pathway: Agricultural Communications & Leadership I (Concentrator level) and  Agricultural Communications & Leadership II (Capstone/level).
