Graduation Ceremony

Read carefully, HMBHS Graduates-to-be! Here is some important information to know about the graduation practices, ceremony, and tickets. 

  • Graduation Ceremony practices will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd 10:30am-12pm, June 3rd 10am-12pm, and June 4th 9am - 11am.
  • Students can pick up their honor cords after Tuesday's graduation practice from their club advisor. 4.0 & Biliteracy cords can be picked up in the office after practice on Tuesday.
  • Students can pick up their caps and gowns during senior breakfast on Tuesday.
  • Practice is mandatory. Plan accordingly to ensure you are on time and attend all practices. Students with jobs should arrange with their employer to have this time off. Practices are during school hours.
  • Heels are not allowed on the track or field. You cannot walk barefoot, so wear appropriate and comfortable shoes for the practices and ceremony.
  • Do not bring your cap and gown to practices.
  • Before the ceremony, ensure that your gown is pressed. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when ironing.
  • Dress appropriately underneath your gown. You will not be able to participate otherwise.
  • Disciplinary actions, including attendance issues, may result in a student not being allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony and/or Senior activities or other school-sponsored extracurricular events.
  • Most importantly, enjoy this celebration! You've earned it!
     

More Ticket Information

  • Each participating Graduate will receive 6 tickets for their guests.

  • Students will be able to pick up their graduation tickets on Thursday after graduation practice.  You must attend all days of practice in order to pick up your tickets.  
  • Students must have turned in their Chromebooks and textbooks to the Library before they can pick up their tickets.  If you have outstanding books due, you will not be able to pick them up until you settle with Ms. Smith in the Library and you are cleared.

  • If you would like to request extra tickets, please complete this Google Form (link to be posted May 1st) by May 15th.

  • Each family may request a maximum of  4 additional tickets.

  • Extra ticket requests will be placed on a Wait List. You will be notified if your request can be fulfilled after the May 15th deadline.

  • Please note that extra tickets are not guaranteed.


NOTE: Parking is limited, so please arrive early and carpool if possible. You may have to allow extra time if you are parked down the hill.
